Blind windows. 2018

View of the installation realised for the graduation exhibition in the studio space of Prof. Gregor Schneider- at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

The museum panes of the former Munich Pinakothek, which had been exchanged with the studio panes a few months earlier, were dismantled and hung on the walls in the proportions of the existing windows.
The drawings, which were to blend into the landscape, inviting the visitor’s gaze to rest outside the exhibition space, are finally proposed as “sightless” images. These “natural” paintings are revealed at the same time as they lose their readability “through.
